The partnership offers passengers all the benefits of both airlines, with an expanded network of routes, and a more diverse range of gateways in the United States, Canada, Mexico and throughout Latin America, all with a single ticket. The rating is gathered in the customer experience category and is based on a neutral third-party passenger feedback. Included in the award are categories regarding seat comfort, entertainment system, cabin service, and more! The NEW EL AL Matmid Frequent Flyer Program As of Sept 1, 2023, EL AL’s all-new Matmid Frequent Flyer Program has been introduced, allowing members to purchase award tickets using points only, with no addition of cash, other than for taxes and fees. The enhanced point system ensures that Matmid points remain valid as long as Matmid members continue to fly with EL AL. The airline has also launched a new frequent flyer currency called Diamonds which allows members to elevate their status. U.S. Admits Israel Into Visa Waiver Program Israel has become the 41st country to enter the U.S. visa waiver program, and travel to/via the U.S. has now become much easier for those with Israeli biometric passports. The waiver is applicable for tourism or business trips to the U.S., which are up to 90 days in length. Israeli biometric passport-holders will be able to pass via the U.S. and connect easily to the six EL AL gateways in JFK, EWR, BOS, MIA, LAX and FLL (FLL-launching Apr 2024). Going forward, Israelis will only be required to fill out an Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) form, several days before embarking on their trip. |
