Dear Partners,

It is truly pleasant for us to communicate information that may have a positive impact on the future of our industry, and at the same time may help us to plan our joint projects better and forecast market trends for the upcoming quarters.

First, we would like to inform you about restoring connections from the US to PL to our regular flight schedule. The new Polish governmental regulation on air traffic (valid until November 24, 2020) has limited the number of countries where carriers are banned from operating return flights to Poland. As a result of it, flights originating from airports located in the states of New York and Illinois are now permitted to land in Poland, which means that LOT flights from the USA to Poland will no longer be offered in the charter formula. We are pleased to announce that all LOT operations between Warsaw and New York and Chicago are available for open sale via booking systems. Please remind our passengers that the change does not affect the rules for crossing borders. Passengers planning to travel between Poland and the United States are still subject to entry restrictions, which should be checked at the time of purchasing ticket and monitored before departure.

In the newly published document, you’ll also see Israel and Moldova are no longer listed. Nevertheless, despite favorable regulations on the Polish side, local restrictions of those countries make us unable to restore LOT passenger operations. Therefore, regular flights to Tel Aviv and Chisinau are not back on our current schedule.

We are happy to announce that operations to San Francisco, originally planned to be launched in August 2020, are already available in the booking systems with flights beginning June 2021. Operations originating from Warsaw are scheduled 3 times a week: on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Flights will be operated by Boeing 787-8 aircraft.

All epidemic restrictions introduced before and continuously being changed all over the world significantly influence passengers’ comfort in traveling and planning their future travels. Due to the significantly lower demand on number of routes, we have made further changes in the LOT routes network. Operations from/to Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Luxembourg, Geneva, Riga, and Milan scheduled between November 28 and December 17 are cancelled. Also, LOT domestic operations from/to Lublin will be operated with the frequency of 2 flights a week.
Due to constant changes in the international passenger traffic and its regulations, please always check the operations directly in the booking systems.
Last but not least, we would like to share with you that this week’s information on an effective COVID-19 vaccine brings hope for gradually restoring the tourism sector and demand for international air travels. If the need arises, LOT is ready to play an important role in this process. Thanks to the IATA CEIV Pharma certification for LOT Cargo, which guarantees the highest market standard in the transportation of pharmaceuticals, LOT Dreamliners are prepared to transport temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, including vaccines.

Thank you for your attention, we wish you a nice weekend ahead,

Anna Staszewska, Director of Sales, Global
